Jammu and Kashmir launches online portal to streamline government promotions

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo has launched an online Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) portal to digitize and accelerate the promotion process for government employees in Jammu and Kashmir. Developed by BISAG-N, the portal utilizes a multi-tier workflow involving maker, checker, and approver levels to increase efficiency in service-related matters.

In a related administrative move, the Jammu and Kashmir General Administration Department has appointed two Assistant Section Officers, Nahida Jan and Inder Singh, to serve as In-charge Section Officers on an officiating basis. This temporary arrangement is set for six months or until the positions are filled through regular appointments by the Departmental Promotion Committee, whichever occurs first.
