Chief Minister Omar Abdullah convened a candid meeting with Kashmiri civil‑society representatives in Srinagar, where participants pressed the government for the restoration of full statehood and highlighted governance shortcomings. Industrialists and former officials spoke openly, criticizing delays in land allotments and the lack of a counter‑narrative to the post‑2019 political climate.

On the same day, Abdullah received delegations from the Bat Manufacturers Association, Srinagar Airport taxi drivers, hot‑mix plant owners, the Pampore industrial estate and ICICI Bank. He pledged to examine their grievances, explore measures to boost the cricket‑bat sector, improve airport‑taxi services, support industrial operations and expand corporate‑social‑responsibility initiatives, promising coordinated action with relevant departments.
