Jammu & Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah meets Bihar Assembly speaker and Himachal education minister

On June 26 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah hosted Bihar Legislative Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar and Himachal Pradesh School Education Minister Rohit Thakur at his residence. The discussions focused on strengthening democratic institutions, inter‑governmental cooperation and sharing legislative best practices. In the meeting with the Himachal delegation, which included state education officials such as Rajesh Sharma, Ashish Kumar Kohli and Anil Chauhan, the leaders examined ways to improve school education, promote innovation in teaching and facilitate institutional collaboration between the two Himalayan regions. Abdullah highlighted quality education as essential for sustainable development and pledged continued collaboration between Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Education Minister Sakina Itoo and several local MLAs also attended the talks.
