Jammu Kashmir High Court stays Srinagar wall dispute order

The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has stayed an order from a Srinagar trial court regarding a disputed wall construction and demolition case. Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal intervened after observing that a prima facie case had been made for the court's involvement.

The High Court has requested an explanation from the 2nd Additional Munsiff of Srinagar as to why a clarification application has remained without an order for over a year, despite arguments concluding in October 2025. The court has summoned the scanned case records and ordered that the challenged March 2024 order remain stayed until the next hearing, scheduled for October 31, 2026.
