Jammu search continues for woman swept away in floods

Search operations are entering their third day in Jammu as the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) attempt to locate a woman swept away by floodwaters.

Ruksana Kouser went missing on October 11 following heavy rainfall in the Bagani Talab-Flora nallah area of Chinore. According to family members, the incident occurred when Kouser and her husband, Mohd Kaleem, were caught in a strong current while attempting to manage their vehicle, which had stalled and was being swept away by the flood.

Rescue teams are currently operating in flood-affected areas, including Gumpul in Domana. Officials noted that personnel are facing significant challenges due to difficult ground conditions and powerful water currents.
