Jammu's Residency Road-High Street Project Inaugurated by CM Umar Abdullah

On 7 August, Chief Minister Umar Abdullah inaugurated the upgraded Residency Road‑High Street project in Jammu, India. The work widens the road, installs modern street lighting and improves pedestrian facilities as part of a broader effort to modernise the city’s urban infrastructure.

BJP legislator Yudhveer Sethi praised the project, saying, "मैं जम्मू पुराने शहर के निवासियों को हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं देना चाहता हूं।" He added that the improvements will boost local commerce and religious tourism, noting Jammu’s reputation as a “city of temples” and the availability of funds for temple restoration. The upgrades are expected to attract more tourists and benefit local traders.
