Jamshedpur hotel businessman Nikhar Sablok shot dead

Nikhar Sablok, a 33-year-old prominent hotel businessman from Jamshedpur, was shot dead on Monday evening near Kanderbera Chowk on NH-33 in the Chandil police station area of Seraikela-Kharsawan district.

According to reports, Sablok was leaving the Tenth Mile Stone Hotel after a meeting with friends when two assailants on a motorcycle opened fire. He was struck by four bullets, including one to the head. He was rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH), where doctors declared him dead.

Police recovered eight shell casings from the crime scene. Investigators are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the hotel and the surrounding highway to identify the attackers. While the motive remains under investigation, authorities are exploring several leads, including a potential multi-million rupee land dispute, extortion, and gang warfare.
