Jamshedpur shooting sparks law and order concerns in Jharkhand

Jharkhand Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi has raised concerns regarding the state's law and order following a shooting incident in Jamshedpur. The incident occurred in the Sitardera police station area, where several rounds were fired at a young man during an apparent extortion attempt while he was on a phone call.

Marandi noted that the shooting took place approximately nine hours after a high-level review meeting led by the Director General of Police (DGP) regarding crime control. He questioned the effectiveness of police leadership and called upon Chief Minister Hemant Soren to address the security concerns of the public, alleging that political influence may be affecting police operations.
