Jaén and Ciudad Real launch municipal summer programs for children

The mayor of Jaén, Julio Millán, visited the municipal summer sports schools organized by the city’s Sports Patronate, highlighting more than 2,000 spots for children aged 5‑15 and emphasizing family‑work balance. The programme runs from 23 June to 4 September at La Salobreja and Las Fuentezuelas facilities, offering sport, education, arts and health activities.

In Ciudad Real, the municipal inclusive summer ludoteca opened on 22 June under the Social Services department, serving about 400 children, including those with disabilities. Hosted at the "La Bruja Fusa" music school, the project combines music, sustainability lessons and play, providing 50 places at a €5 fee.

Both initiatives aim to provide safe, affordable, and varied summer activities for local families, supporting social inclusion and community well‑being.
