Jan Błachowicz signs new UFC contract ahead of Belgrade fight with Navajo Stirling

Former UFC light‑heavyweight champion Jan Błachowicz announced a new multi‑fight contract with the organization, confirming his continued stay after more than a decade with the promotion. The deal was revealed on his Instagram just days before UFC Fight Night in Belgrade on 1 August, where he will face unbeaten New Zealand prospect Navajo Stirling (10‑0) in the co‑main event. Stirling, a product of the City Kickboxing gym, earned his title shot with a recent TKO of Ion Cutelaba.

The bout was arranged after original opponent Bogdan Guskov was redirected to Abu Dhabi to challenge Magomed Ankalaev, following an injury withdrawal by Khalil Rountree Jr. The reshuffle also saw Guskov replace the cancelled fight in Belgrade, leaving Błachowicz to meet the younger challenger. The event marks UFC’s first show in Serbia, held at the 18,000‑seat Belgrade Arena.
