Jan Borysewicz reflects on first marriage and family life

Jan Borysewicz, the guitarist and leader of the band Lady Pank, has reflected on the circumstances surrounding his first marriage and his current relationship with his daughter, Joanna.

In a detailed interview, Borysewicz revealed that he did not feel prepared for marriage or fatherhood at the time. He described the period as one of significant personal hardship, noting that he had recently lost his brother to suicide while his then-partner, Danuta, had lost her mother. The decision to marry was prompted by Danuta's pregnancy.

Borysewicz admitted to feeling guilty after initially telling Danuta he was too young and unfit for the responsibilities of a husband and father. He noted that the marriage eventually ended, and he currently maintains very little contact with his daughter.
