Jan Faltejsek seeks historic eighth Velká pardubická win

Jockey Jan Faltejsek is competing for a historic eighth victory in the Velká pardubická steeplechase, a feat that would equal the record held by Josef Váňa. Faltejsek will ride the co-favorite Godfrey, the horse with which he secured victory in 2024.

Lenka Neprašová, a talented young jockey who has trained under Faltejsek, will ride the 13-year-old Sacamiro. Sacamiro was the winner of the 2024 race and remains a strong contender despite his age. Neprašová, seeking to become only the second woman in history to win the event, expressed hope for favorable weather conditions at the Taxis obstacle to ensure a safe race.
