Jan Jackowiak wins 54th Gran Premio Capodarco

Jan Jackowiak, a 19-year-old Polish cyclist from the Bahrain Victorious Devo Team, won the 54th edition of the Gran Premio Capodarco. This victory marks the first time a Polish rider has won the event.

Jackowiak secured the win through a powerful long-range solo attack, covering the 162-kilometer course in 4 hours, 9 minutes, and 53 seconds, with an average speed of approximately 41.95 km/h. The race featured 162 riders representing 33 teams.

The podium was completed by Leonardo Vesco of Biesse-Carrera-Premac in second place, and Kasper Borremans of the Bahrain Victorious Devo Team in third. The event included a commemorative ceremony at the monument dedicated to Gaetano Gazzoli and Fabio Casartelli before the official start in Porto San Giorgio.
