Jan Kvěch wins Zlatá přilba speedway race in Pardubice

Jan Kvěch won the 78th Zlatá přilba speedway race in Pardubice, marking the first victory for a Czech rider in nine years. The event, recognized as one of the oldest flat track races in the world, saw Kvěch overcome significant challenges during the final heat.

The final required three attempts due to collisions and falls involving riders such as Kim Nilsson and Jason Doyle. After a difficult start, Kvěch managed to navigate through the field, eventually overtaking Andžejs Lebeděvs in the penultimate lap to secure the title.

Other notable performances included Václav Milík, who finished tenth, and the podium finishers Andžejs Lebeděvs in second and German rider Huckenbeck in third. The competition featured a diverse international field, though several local favorites and Polish riders were eliminated in earlier stages.
