Jaén launches 16 olive oil tourism experiences

The X Rutas del Aceite (Oil Routes) of Jaén have launched a series of 16 cultural and gastronomic experiences across eleven municipalities. Running from mid-October until December 19, the program aims to immerse visitors in the olive oil culture of the province, offering visits to olive groves and mills (almazaras), tastings of extra virgin olive oil (AOVE), and workshops ranging from natural cosmetics to traditional gastronomy.

Organized by the Centro de Interpretación Olivar y Aceite de Úbeda with support from local authorities and the IGP Aceite de Jaén, the initiative seeks to showcase the entire production process and the connection between the landscape and local traditions.

The campaign also serves a charitable purpose, as registration proceeds will be donated to the Asociación Síndrome 22q11 to support research and care for individuals living with this genetic disease.
