Jaén officials demand fulfillment of regional commitments

Juan Latorre, president of the Diputación de Jaén, met with the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, in Seville to demand the fulfillment of regional commitments to the province of Jaén.

Latorre emphasized that the province requires equal opportunities and infrastructure rather than privileges. A primary concern raised was the lack of school transportation, which currently affects more than 1,600 students. Latorre called for an immediate solution to support affected families.

Additionally, Latorre addressed housing issues, urging the regional government to involve itself more deeply in the sector. He suggested that if the Junta does not wish to manage Spanish government housing funds directly, they should transfer those funds to the provincial councils (diputaciones).
