Jan Pancar secures career-best fourth place at MXGP China Grand Prix

Slovenian motocross rider Jan Pancar achieved a career-best result at the MXGP China Grand Prix in Shanghai. Competing with a non-factory motorcycle and a family team, Pancar secured fourth place in the first race.

In the first heat, Jeffrey Herlings (Honda) maintained his dominance, securing his 19th consecutive individual heat victory by leading from start to finish. He was followed by Romain Febvre (Kawasaki) in second and Tom Vialle (Honda) in third. Pancar, who had previously dropped to seventh in the opening lap, managed to overtake several riders, including Calvin Vlaanderen and Pauls Jonass, to finish 50 seconds behind Herlings.

Prior to the race, Pancar had also performed strongly in qualifying, securing fourth place behind Herlings, Febvre, and Vialle. Currently, Pancar holds 275 points in the overall standings, placing him 13th in the championship.
