Jan Przyrowski wins maiden Formula Regional race at Hockenheim

Jan Przyrowski secured his maiden victory in the FIA Formula Regional European Championship at Hockenheim, marking the first win for RPM since the team entered the series in 2022.

The race was marked by a significant first-corner collision between championship contenders Sebastian Wheldon and Emanuele Olivieri. The incident resulted in Olivieri’s immediate retirement and forced Wheldon to the back of the field. Stewards later judged Wheldon “wholly responsible for the collision,” issuing him a 10-second penalty and two license points.

Following the incident, Przyrowski managed his tires to maintain the lead through a safety car period and to the finish line. Kean Nakamura-Berta finished second, while Rashid Al Dhaheri took third. While Olivieri retains the championship lead, Nakamura-Berta has closed the gap to seven points. The title race remains active heading into the final race of the season.
