Jan van de Laar to perform at Sint-Lambertuskerk

Organist Jan van de Laar will perform a diverse program of European organ music at the Sint-Lambertuskerk in Helmond on Saturday, August 15. The event marks his 50th year of service to the church.

The concert features works ranging from the Spanish Baroque style of Juan Cabanilles to the French Romantic compositions of Louis Vierne and the classical works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Van de Laar will utilize two distinct historical instruments available at the church: the 1772 Robustelly organ, originally built for the Abbey of Averbode in Belgium, and a Smits organ dating from 1848.
