Jana Nayagan becomes highest-grossing Kollywood film of the year

The Tamil action-political thriller Jana Nayagan, starring Vijay, has become the highest-grossing Kollywood film of the year in India. The film surpassed the box office totals of Karuppu to reach this milestone.

As of its 18th day, the film's worldwide gross reached approximately ₹314.00 crore, including ₹221.00 crore in India and ₹93.00 crore from overseas markets. The film saw a significant 87.6% surge in collections on its third Sunday, driven by family audiences.

Entering its third week of release, the film's daily collections have begun to stabilize. On its 19th day, the movie earned approximately ₹39 lakh, bringing its India net collection to ₹192.69 crore and its India gross to roughly ₹224.49 crore. The Tamil version remains the primary contributor to the film's earnings.
