Vijay's Jana Nayagan cleared by censor board, slated for July release

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay’s final film, Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth and featuring an ensemble cast that includes Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj and Gautham Vasudev Menon, has completed the Central Board of Film Certification process. Reports indicate the film will receive an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certificate, ending the months‑long delay that began when the board referred it to a Revising Committee after its original Pongal‑time launch in January 2026.

With certification now secured, producers KVN Productions are preparing a theatrical rollout in July 2026.
