Janaf to invest 43.68 million euros in Kazakhstan oil and gas project

The management of Jadranski naftovod (Janaf) has signed documentation to enter the ownership structure of Geoenergija razvoj d. o. o. Through this move, Janaf and the Agency for Hydrocarbons will co-finance the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons in the Shygys field in Kazakhstan.

Janaf has committed to making additional cash payments of up to 43.68 million euros to fund the project. This initiative follows a decision made by Janaf's General Assembly in January 2026. The project is being conducted in strategic partnership with the Kazakh national company KazMunayGas, as Geoenergija razvoj obtained concession holder status for the Shygys field in April 2026.
