Janamat Party leader Chandra Kant Raut blames Nepal state for fostering unrest in Madhesh

Janamat Party chair Chandra Kant Raut said the Nepalese government, army and police are creating conditions that encourage unrest and bloodshed in the Madhesh region following recent violence in Dewanganj, Sunsari. Raut accused state institutions of failing to curb hate speech and incitement on social media, and claimed they prefer division among Madheshis, indigenous nationalities, Muslims, Tharus and Dalits. He urged restraint, dialogue and reconciliation, saying the ongoing conflict could leave deep societal wounds. Raut called for the authorities to restore peace, public trust and address the root causes of the tensions.
