Janata Dal (United) holds legislative orientation in Patna

The Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) held a one-day orientation programme for its Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) in Patna. Led by party national president Nitish Kumar, the session at the Karpoori Auditorium aimed to strengthen the legislative understanding of elected representatives.

The programme focused on the law-making process, parliamentary procedures, legislative responsibilities, and the functioning of House committees. Participants were also briefed on the state budget, Bihar's economy, and methods for raising constituency-specific and public-interest issues using factual information.

The event took place amid ongoing political discussions regarding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Bihar. JD(U) national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad stated that the party intends to study the provisions of any UCC proposal once a draft is made public before determining its final position.
