Jane Fonda documentary Gaslit to premiere in Zagreb

The documentary film ‘Gaslit’, featuring actress and activist Jane Fonda as both protagonist and executive producer, is scheduled for its Croatian premiere on Wednesday, September 30, at the Kaptol Boutique Cinema in Zagreb. The event will begin with a panel discussion regarding the environmental and social impacts of the fossil fuel industry, specifically focusing on fossil gas.

The film explores the consequences of the expansion of the fossil fuel industry in the United States, particularly within the communities of Texas and the Louisiana Gulf Coast. It examines the human cost of the United States becoming the world's largest exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG), documenting how energy policies affect air quality, water usage, and local health. A significant portion of the film focuses on ‘Cancer Alley’ in Louisiana, where residents live surrounded by petrochemical facilities.
