Jane McMillan elected to Cattle Australia board

Jane McMillan, a cattle producer from Cloncurry, has been elected as the northern director on the Cattle Australia board. As the executive director of McMillan Pastoral Company, she manages Brahman and Brahman-cross cattle across 2.5 million hectares in north west Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Ms. McMillan, who also serves as a Cloncurry Shire councillor, stated her intention to represent northern producers by addressing issues such as biosecurity, workforce, land use, and vegetation management. She aims to ensure northern Australian producers are heard by policymakers and the community.

Additionally, Erica Halliday, a principal of Ben Nevis Grazing Co and Ben Nevis Angus, has been elected to a southern director position. Ms. Halliday is the immediate past president of Angus Australia and chair of the 2025 World Angus Forum.
