Janel Grant opens up about struggles as WWE lawsuit shifts to private arbitration
Janel Grant posted an Instagram message saying she has been "struggling" and thanked supporters for helping her feel less alone, noting that she had been outside only five times this year and that an episode of Anderson Cooper’s podcast on grief had provided comfort.
The post followed a court filing in which Grant, WWE and Vince McMahon agreed to dismiss the federal lawsuit and move the dispute to private arbitration. Grant’s original 2024 lawsuit accused McMahon and WWE of sexual assault, trafficking and sex abuse; McMahon later stepped down from his executive role at the company. The arbitration will keep the case out of public court.
Grant’s update underscores the personal toll of the legal battle even as the case proceeds behind closed doors.
