Janet Jackson may develop her own biopic, says Jaafar Jackson
Actor Jaafar Jackson has suggested that Janet Jackson may be developing plans for her own biopic. Speaking to GQ Middle East regarding his role in the Michael Jackson biopic, Jaafar indicated that the singer has ideas for a standalone film about her life and musical legacy.
Jaafar, who is the son of Jermaine Jackson, noted that Janet opted out of the Michael Jackson film to avoid casting conflicts, suggesting it would not make sense to use one actor for Michael and a different one for Janet in a separate production.
In related reflections on the Michael Jackson biopic, Jaafar shared personal memories of his uncle, describing him as a “prankster” and “jokester.” He also noted that a sequel to the Michael biopic is expected to address past allegations from the singer’s own perspective to ensure his voice is heard.
