Jang Ki-ha releases first solo studio album ‘Sansanjogak’

Singer-songwriter Jang Ki-ha has released his first solo studio album, ‘Sansanjogak’ (Shattered), marking his first full-length project since the disbandment of his band in 2018. The release represents a departure from modern music trends that prioritize short-form content and 15-second hooks.

In a reversal of traditional production methods, Jang created a 33-minute silent short film based on a poem before composing the nine tracks of the album. The music was woven to match the existing rhythm and breath of the film without altering a single frame of the footage. This approach aims to preserve a cohesive narrative and long-form musical flow in an era of fragmented digital consumption.
