Jang Seo-hee takes on first main villain role in new drama

Actress Jang Seo-hee has revealed her motivations for taking on her first main villain role in the KBS 2TV daily drama ‘Trap of Desire’. Known for her previous roles as victims seeking revenge, Jang expressed that the opportunity to play a character who actively harasses others was a compelling new challenge.

In a recent interview, Jang emphasized her desire to avoid stereotypical villain portrayals, such as excessive shouting or wide-eyed aggression. She noted the importance of maintaining her acting skills through constant preparation to ensure she does not disappoint audiences despite her long career.

Regarding the filming process for the long-running series, Jang mentioned facing extreme conditions, including heatwaves reaching 38 degrees Celsius and frequent overnight shoots. She stated that facing these difficulties often increases her affection for the project.
