Jangam Station to suspend service for new station construction

Jangam Station on Subway Line 7 will suspend operations from October 2 to October 30 to facilitate the construction of a new station as part of the Dobongsan-Okjeong Metropolitan Railway project. During this period, Line 7 trains will only operate as far as Dobongsan Station.

To minimize passenger inconvenience, Gyeonggi Province will operate a free shuttle bus connecting Dobongsan Station Transfer Center to the Jangam Station stop via the Dobong Depot main gate. The shuttle will run from 5:00 AM to midnight, with intervals of 7 to 15 minutes on weekdays and 10 to 20 minutes on weekends and holidays.

The suspension is necessary to connect tracks to a temporary station, relocate signaling and communication facilities, and conduct safety inspections. Following these procedures, the temporary station is scheduled to begin operations on October 31. The Dobongsan-Okjeong Metropolitan Railway is a 15.1 km single-track project connecting Dobongsan Station to Yangju Goeup District, with a total budget of 893.5 billion won.
