Janin Ullmann discusses life after separation from Kostja Ullmann

TV presenter Janin Ullmann has spoken candidly about the difficulties she faced following her 2018 separation from actor Kostja Ullmann. During an appearance on Guido Maria Kretschmer’s podcast ‘feinstoff’, the 44-year-old revealed that it took her approximately four years to process the end of the marriage.

Ullmann described the period following the split as ‘really total celibacy’ because she did not date anyone else during that time, a phase she initially found ‘really corrosive’ but later felt was beneficial. She noted that the separation felt like a ‘burst dream’ because she had envisioned a future involving marriage and children.

Despite the hardship, Ullmann expressed gratitude for her long-term relationship with Kostja Ullmann, noting they had traveled the world together since their early twenties. She described her ex-husband as a ‘healthy, great person’ on many levels.
