Janja Garnbret secures 52nd career victory in Santiago de Chile

Slovenian climber Janja Garnbret secured her 52nd World Cup victory in the lead climbing discipline at the season finale in Santiago, Chile. The win further extends her absolute record for career victories in the series.

Slovenian athletes achieved a strong collective performance in the women's competition. Rosa Rekar finished in third place, while Lučka Rakovec took fourth following an official protest by the Slovenian technical staff regarding the initial results. In the men's competition, Luka Potočar finished in 14th place after reaching a height of 25+ in the semifinals.

This event marks the final major international lead climbing competition of the year. Athletes will now prepare for the 2027 pre-Olympic year, which includes qualification processes for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games and the European Games in Istanbul.
