Janko Veselinović injured by traffic spikes in front of Serbian Parliament

Janko Veselinović, a member of the Presidency of the Freedom and Justice Party (SSP), sustained head injuries after tripping on traffic control spikes in front of the National Assembly of Serbia. The incident occurred at Nikola Pašić Square while Veselinović was heading to a press conference.

Veselinović reported on X that the 10 cm spikes, installed to prevent vehicles from entering the parking area in the wrong direction, had been raised after a vehicle had previously entered. He stated that he hit his head on the asphalt and was subsequently taken to the Military Medical Academy (VMA) for examination.

The incident occurred on the same day that representatives from the SSP, the SRCE party, and the Solidarity Civic Movement announced they would run as a joint electoral list, ‘European Serbia – Marinika Tepić – Zdravko Ponoš’, for the extraordinary parliamentary elections scheduled for October 25.
