Janney Montgomery Scott Increases Stake in Lincoln National Corp

Janney Montgomery Scott LLC raised its holding in Lincoln National Corporation (NYSE:LNC) by 45.8% in the first quarter, adding 94,009 shares to bring its total to 299,412 shares, representing 0.16% of the insurer and valued at about $10.63 million. The filing also noted that several other institutional investors expanded positions in the company during recent quarters, including Insight Investment LLC, Smartleaf Asset Management LLC, CWM LLC, Evergreen Capital Management LLC, and Xponance Inc., each increasing their stakes by small percentages. Collectively, institutional investors now own roughly 72.8% of Lincoln National’s outstanding shares.
