Jannik Schümann to play William Shakespeare in Stuttgart musical

Actor Jannik Schümann is set to return to musical theater in January 2027. He will perform the role of William Shakespeare in select performances of the pop-musical ‘& Julia’ at the Stage Palladium Theater in Stuttgart.

Schümann, widely recognized for his work in film and television series such as ‘Sisi’, began his stage career as a child, notably playing young Amadeus in the musical ‘Mozart!’. His return to the genre marks a significant milestone, as he described the move as a ‘full-circle’ moment and a long-held dream.

Artistic Producer Simone Linhof noted that Schümann’s ability to portray complex characters and his popularity make him an ideal fit for the role. To prepare for the demanding requirements of singing, dancing, and acting, Schümann has been taking vocal training for several months.
