Wimbledon stays on BBC TV and digital platforms until 2033
The BBC and the All England Club have signed a new agreement that extends BBC Sport's free‑to‑air coverage of Wimbledon through 2033. Audiences in the United Kingdom will continue to receive live broadcasts of the Championships across television, Radio 5 Live, iPlayer, BBC Sounds, the BBC Sport website and app, and social channels. The deal follows record digital engagement, with 69.3 million online requests recorded in 2025, the highest ever for the tournament.
The 2026 Championships begin on Monday 29 June, with defending men’s champion Jannik Sinner set to become the first Italian to open play on Centre Court, and women’s champion Iga Świątek returning to open day two as the first Polish winner. Both will be featured in the expanded BBC coverage, which promises new editorial voices, deeper storytelling and enhanced analysis across all platforms.
