World No. 1 Jannik Sinner and 24‑time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic have officially withdrawn from the National Bank Open in Montreal, a Masters 1000 event scheduled for 2–13 August. Sinner announced the decision after his second consecutive Wimbledon title, opting to rest and focus on the upcoming hard‑court swing that includes the Cincinnati Masters (13–23 August) and the US Open in New York (31 August – 13 September). The Italian cited health and recovery as the priority. Djokovic, who reached the Wimbledon semifinals, also skipped the Canadian tournament as part of a reduced schedule.
