Jannik Sinner discusses injury recovery and long-term vision

Tennis champion Jannik Sinner has opened up about his recovery from a knee inflammation that forced him to miss the remainder of the season following his Wimbledon victory. In a recent interview, Sinner emphasized the importance of patience and a long-term perspective, stating, “The body is the only opponent you cannot beat; when it tells you to stop, you must accept it and follow the advice of specialists.”

Sinner noted that while he has been away from tournaments, he has remained active through physical training, physiotherapy, and personal interests such as attending Formula 1 races and reading. He also mentioned developing a friendship with Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli, noting that they frequently exchange perspectives on managing high-level sports careers.

Despite the injury setback, Sinner remains focused on his professional preparation, asserting that talent without hard work is insufficient. He indicated that his goal is to return to competition in optimal condition, potentially targeting the Six Kings Slam at the end of the year.
