Jannik Sinner advised to pause training until September 6 due to knee injury

World No. 1 tennis player Jannik Sinner is undergoing a period of complete rest to recover from inflammation in his right knee. Following recent medical examinations at J Medical in Turin, doctors have recommended that he refrain from all tennis training until at least September 6.

This injury has already forced Sinner to withdraw from the US Open and previously from the Cincinnati and Montreal Masters. While medical checks indicate there is no structural rupture, the inflammation persists, requiring a cautious rehabilitation approach involving physiotherapy and shockwave treatments.

During his recovery period in Turin, Sinner visited the Juventus training center at Continassa, where he met with players and coach Luciano Spalletti. If his recovery follows the current plan, Sinner is expected to make his competitive return at the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing, starting September 30.
