Jannik Sinner makes progress in knee injury rehabilitation
World number one Jannik Sinner is making progress in his recovery from extra-articular tendinopathy in his right knee. The injury previously forced him to withdraw from the North American tour and the US Open.
Currently based in Turin, Sinner is undergoing an intensive rehabilitation program at J Medical. His routine includes medical and physiotherapy sessions supervised by team doctor Luca Semperboni, alongside physical training with Umberto Ferrara and Alejandro Resnicoff. He has also begun functional tests on the courts of Circolo della Stampa Sporting to monitor how his knee responds to tennis-specific movements such as changes of direction and rotations.
The Italian Tennis and Padel Federation has provided specialized argon laser therapy equipment to assist in tissue recovery. If current progress continues, Sinner is expected to return to Monte Carlo to rejoin his coaching staff, with the ATP 500 in Beijing identified as a potential return target.
