Jannik Sinner heads to Wimbledon 2026 as favorite, using glucose sensor

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner has resumed training in Monte Carlo, this time wearing a small continuous‑glucose‑monitoring (CGM) sensor on his left arm. The device, originally developed for diabetes care, records blood‑sugar levels in real time and helps his team fine‑tune nutrition and energy intake after the sudden fatigue he suffered at Roland Garros. After a series of medical checks in Milan, Sinner and his staff introduced the sensor to prevent similar collapses during long matches.

Sinner arrived in London in mid‑June, completed his first grass‑court session at the All England Club and will defend his Wimbledon title in 2026. His French coach Patrick Mouratoglou called him “the clear favourite”, noting that the reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz is sidelined with a wrist injury. Sinner will also play the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic at the Hurlingham Club as part of his grass‑court preparation.

The combination of high‑tech monitoring and a favourable draw positions Sinner as the frontrunner for the upcoming Wimbledon championship.
