JANTJE_ONTEMBAAR accuses VASIC of unauthorized product production and sales

The fashion brand JANTJE_ONTEMBAAR, co-founded by actor Shingo Katori and fashion editor Tomoki Sukezane, has issued a statement regarding a major contract violation by its collaborator, VASIC.

According to the brand, VASIC manufactured quantities of collaboration products exceeding the original order amount without authorization. These unauthorized items, which feature JANTJE_ONTEMBAAR’s protected art and logos, were subsequently sold at VASIC’s outlet stores. The products were intended to be limited editions available only through the brand’s single Marunouchi location and its official online shop.

JANTJE_ONTEMBAAR characterized the incident as both a serious breach of contract and an illegal infringement of their copyrights and trademark rights. Following a formal protest, the brand received confirmation that the unauthorized products have been removed from the outlet stores. The brand stated they intend to take further strict measures against VASIC and apologized to customers who purchased items through official channels.
