Japan achieves record 83 gold medals at Asian Games

Japanese athletes achieved significant success at the Asian Games, contributing to a record-breaking total of 83 gold medals for the nation.

Key individual performances included gold medals from Aiko Sugihara in women's gymnastics individual all-around, Misaki Emura in women's sabre fencing, and Yui Suzaki in women's 50kg wrestling. Other notable results included a silver medal for Haruka Kitaguchi in women's javelin throw and a bronze medal for Rikako Ikee in the women's 50m butterfly.

In team events, the women's volleyball team and the artistic swimming team both secured silver medals, while the men's table tennis team also achieved a gold medal victory.
