Japan Airlines and Kasumigaseki Capital partner on hotel development

Japan Airlines (JAL) and Kasumigaseki Capital have announced a strategic partnership to expand JAL's non-aviation business through hotel development and a new mileage integration with FHG HOTELS.

The collaboration begins with the Naha Higawa Hotel Project in Naha, Okinawa. Construction for the 12-story, 105-room hotel is scheduled to start in November, with completion expected in spring 2029 and an opening in summer 2029.

As part of the partnership, JAL Mileage Bank members can earn one mile for every 100 yen spent when booking through the FHG HOTELS official website via the JAL Mileage Park. Accumulated miles can be exchanged for accommodation coupons. To commemorate the launch, a promotional period from August 27 to October 29 offers reduced exchange rates for these coupons. Additionally, JAL Global Club members will receive access to special pricing at FHG HOTELS properties.
