Japan Airlines launches dual-region residency service for corporate well-being
Japan Airlines (JAL) and its new regional revitalization subsidiary, Kantsuna, have launched a pilot program for a corporate service designed to connect employees with regional communities. The service, titled ‘Well-being Co-creation Service,’ aims to improve employee engagement and happiness through dual-region residency and participation in local activities.
The initiative seeks to create a ‘relationship population’ by encouraging corporate professionals to visit and engage with rural areas continuously. This approach is intended to boost organizational vitality for companies while revitalizing local economies and social structures.
The first pilot project is being conducted in partnership with Aerospace in Urakawa, Hokkaido. Through this collaboration, JAL will utilize its aviation network and mileage programs to facilitate travel, while Kantsuna will focus on analyzing employee well-being metrics and designing business frameworks. The goal is to eventually expand this service to corporate partners nationwide.
