Japan Airlines to reduce fuel surcharges for September-October flights
Japan Airlines (JAL) and Japan Transocean Air have applied to reduce international fuel surcharges for tickets issued in September and October 2026. For flights to Europe and North America, the round-trip surcharge will drop to 100,000 yen, a 30,000 yen decrease from the July-August period. Hawaii round-trip surcharges will also decrease by 19,000 yen to 61,800 yen. These reductions are supported by government emergency measures to mitigate the impact of Middle East tensions.
In other business developments, Moving Co., Ltd. is launching a pilot program for its 'trds' EC return service at White Kyubyo cleaning stores. The initiative aims to allow customers to return ZOZOTOWN items at local cleaning locations, integrating e-commerce returns into daily life routines.
Additionally, Tokyo Shoseki announced a system integration with Uchida Yoko’s 'L-Gate' learning portal. The collaboration utilizes single sign-on technology to reduce the administrative burden on teachers regarding student account management and digital textbook access.
