Japan Airlines unveils 2035 vision and new cabin amenities

Japan Airlines (JAL) Group has released its “JAL REPORT 2026,” outlining a strategic roadmap to achieve its “JAL Vision 2035.” CEO Mitsuko Tottori emphasized the company’s commitment to balancing social value creation with sustainable corporate growth. The report systematizes a new value creation process based on “OUR DNA,” which includes the JAL Philosophy, professionalism in safety and service, and a culture of transformation and challenge. Additionally, the group has identified seven new materiality issues to address sustainability risks and opportunities through specific KPIs and departmental responsibilities.

In a separate service update, JAL will refresh its international first-class and business-class amenities starting in mid-September 2026. The airline is introducing its first genderless skincare kits in first class, utilizing products from Cosme Decorte and The Ginza to meet diverse passenger needs. Business class amenities will feature art designs created in collaboration with Heralbony, incorporating works from international artists. These updates will roll out across routes to Europe, the Americas, Canada, and Australia, including new practical items such as passport covers and luggage tags.
