Japan Announces 2026 Dates for Hakodate International Folk Art Festival and Fuji‑area GlobalCamp Festival

The city of Hakodate will host the Hakodate International Folk Art Festival at Motomachi Park from August 5 to August 11, 2026. The week‑long event will feature folk art groups from around the world offering outdoor performances, workshops, and a concurrent "Mogumogu Festival" with international food and goods.

Near Mount Fuji, the GlobalCamp Festival Vol. 14 will take place on October 24‑25, 2026 at the YMCA Global Eco Village in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka. Organized by Chaihane, the two‑day festival will showcase global cultures through music, cuisine, markets, costume parades, and night‑time activities such as candle yoga, offering attendees an immersive multicultural experience.
