Japan Announces 2026 National Youth Dance and Karate Championships

Fuji Television’s streaming service FOD will broadcast the 2026 DANCE STADIUM Japanese High School Dance Championship and, and for the first time the Japanese Middle School Dance Championship, as live nationwide events. The competitions will feature roughly 600 high‑school teams and 20 middle‑school teams, with regional qualifiers running from late July to early August and national finals slated for mid‑August and early September.

The All Japan Karate Federation has released the tournament schedule for the 26th All‑Japan Youth Karate Championship, part of KARATE WEEK 2026. The three‑day event will take place from 13 to 15 August at the Keio Arena in Chōfu, Tokyo, covering multiple age and gender categories for elementary‑school participants. Entry opens on 8 June, and the federation will also sell commemorative T‑shirts at the venue.
